Consumer Reports Magazine Spread

This piece shows the difference in quality and durability of the New Balance 420 V2 compared to the 990 V6 shoes. The 990 V6 were the first American-made shoes introduced by New Balance, which supports our local economy, offers customization and fit, and ultimately focuses on comfort. My target audience is Masculine-leaning Baby Boomers, and this design would be housed in the Consumer Reports magazine spread "On Health." For the process, I started by sketching out each pair of shoes to map out the pieces I planned to highlight in the spread and to also get a sense of their shape and scale for future comparison purposes. I also kept to a strict color palette to not overwhelm the eyes and to stay on theme with what colors Boomers prefer as well.
